May 29 Blood Drive – Fine Forgiveness

In celebration of going FINE-FREE starting June 1, 2024, come join the Carthage Public Library in hosting our first Community Blood Drive in partnership with the American Red Cross! Wednesday, May 29, 2024, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., in the Library Community Room.
Every Carthage Public Library patron who can give blood at this event will have all overdue fines forgiven. If the patron who gives blood is listed as the parent of a minor child, that child’s overdue fines will also be forgiven. Only overdue fines will be removed. Any charges for lost books, damaged books, collection fees, and processing fees will not be removed, and are still owed by the patron. Walk-ins will be accepted, but time and space are limited. If you want to ensure a time slot for blood donation at this event, use the QR code in the promotional materials to make an appointment. If you have questions about your fines, have your library card number (e.g. P12345) ready, and call us at 417-237-7040. If you are unable to attend this fine forgiveness event, or unable to give blood, keep an eye out for two more upcoming fine forgiveness events before the end of the year.
