Oceans of Possibilities Summer Reading Challenge

Summer Reading Challenge signups begin May 23rd, with the first big program being May 24th! Stop by the Library to pick up a schedule of events (and see our cool decorations!) Preregistration is not needed for summer programs. Seating will be first come, first seated. Check out our flyers and videos below.

Missouri Evergreen App Now Available!

Missouri Evergreen has a free mobile app for the library’s online catalog. It allows you to search the online catalog, place holds, view account information, and renew items on your mobile device.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Your Carthage Public Library is now participating in the nationwide reading program called 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten for children ages 0 to pre-k. If you have a child in this age range, we encourage you to sign up in the library or right here, then stop by and pick up your starter packet.

Listen to your favorite books when you’re on the go! Carthage Public Library is part of Missouri Libraries 2 Go, which means your library card gives you access to thousands of e-books and digital audio books, available anytime and anywhere on your mobile device with the Libby by Overdrive app. Whether you’re driving to work or going for a run on the beach, you can find something great to listen to for free!
