Carthage Public Library removes mask requirement with social distancing modifications.

The Carthage Public Library is eager to share the news with our community that 95 % of our staff members have received the COVID-19 vaccine and we welcome you into the library without a mask. We firmly ask that you do not visit the library if you are sick, had a fever or have traveled in the past two weeks. You may be asked to wear a mask if you are needing one-on-one assistance from staff. All visitors to the new Steadley Family Legacy Center must wear a mask.

The time limitation has been lifted. Capacity limits have been eased and all participants in programs this summer must pre-register on the library website. To continue to insure the health and safety of our staff and patrons, social distancing measures remain in place. We are so eager to get everyone back inside the library, and feel confident that our wonderful patrons will help keep us all healthy by following the new guidelines. Strict disinfecting procedures are in place throughout the day and after the library closes. It has been a long and trying year for everyone, but one thing everyone can count on is that their hometown library is here to meet the needs of all people. Get out and get your library card, you don’t want to miss some of the exciting programs this summer.

Thank you for your patience.
