Circulation Policies


Loan Periods

  • Established adult patrons in good standing may check out up to 8 items at a time.
  • Established juvenile patrons in good standing may check out up to 6 items at a time.
  • Books are generally checked out for a two week period.
  • Periodicals, pamphlets, books on tape, CDs and book/cassette kits are generally
    checked out for a one week period.
  • All of the above items may be renewed twice. Items may be renewed only once if
    the reserve list has two or more names.
  • Videos may be checked out for 3 days and may not be renewed.
  • Videos and books on tape may only be checked out on an adult library card and
    are limited to four titles per patron at any given time.
  • No materials will be checked out or new library cards issued 10 minutes prior to
    closing    .


    Fines

  • Fines for overdue books, periodicals, audio books, CDs and book/cassette kits are
    20¢ per day, per item not to exceed $10.00 per item.
  • Fines for overdue videos are $1.00 per day per item not to exceed $10.00 per item.
  • Borrower is billed for the full cost of repair or replacement of lost or damaged items.
  • Patrons will be charged $2.00 for the replacement of lost or damaged borrower cards.
